Series "Abstraction: The Art of Design"

Today I want to share with you a Netflix series that I started watching the other day.

Abstract: The Art of Design is a documentary series about some of the most famous figures in the art and design world. It premiered on Netflix on February 10, 2017 and like all Netflix series, it turned out to be very exciting!

The average episode lasts 42-48 minutes, with each episode focusing on one character who is a professional in his or her chosen design industry. Some of them are illustrators, fashion designers, interior designers, and architectural designers. The series reveals the details of realized projects, different approaches and methodology of creative people's work.
The documentary series "Abstract: The Art of Design" is about the work of famous designers around the world. The series is one of the best documentaries created in recent times, because it tells us that the world we live in is created by designers. The creators of the series decided to show us how the contemporaries work, what inspires them, what techniques they use, what they want to say with their works.
For the first season of the series, the authors chose eight designers who had become real gurus in their fields. Some of the names you probably know, but most of them you probably don't, although you've probably at least seen their work, if not used it yourself.

They are Illustrator Christoph Niemann, Car Designer Ralph Gills, Architect Bjarke Ingels, Interior Designer Ilse Crawford, and others.
The series was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding graphic design and set design.

As an architect, I was very inspired by the episode about Bjarke Ingels, one of the most sought-after architects in the world, the founder of the Bjarke Ingels Group architectural firm.
